美国一男子被判刑1140年
本报综合报道 美国西弗吉尼亚州一名男子因为性侵害年仅七岁的女儿，被法院判处1140年徒刑，不过该州最高法院认为这项判决违反了宪法的精神，裁定改判。


　　本案被告名叫大卫，他被控在1998到2000年期间，对他当时年仅7岁的女儿，施以连续性侵害，他被控152项罪名，每一项都最高可判入狱35年，最后他有38项罪名确立，法官判了他1140年。

不过这项判决前日被最高法院推翻，西弗吉尼亚最高法院认为，刑法的目的，是要遏制与惩治犯罪，不是用来吓唬人的，尽管被告所作所为罪无可赦，不过刑罚不宜给人以牙还牙的感觉，这项判决违反了宪法的精神，最高法院裁定改判。(综合)
